Phase 1: 1997 - 2001','RECOCARNO AND APECA
The support programme for the coffee producers had 3 main elements which still form the basis of RECOCARNO activities:
  • Organizational strengthening
  • Coffee production
  • Coffee marketing

    • During this phase RECOCARNO:
  • Received financial support
  • Developed partnership with Oxfam and SEFADES
  • Jointly managed APECA program with SEFADES

    • At the end of Phase 1 RECOCARNO became more autonomous.

  • Number of Cooperatives : 7
  • Number of producers: > 2500
  • Washing stations : 10
  • Exported produce : average of 45 tonnes/year
  • Turnover : US $ 124,740/year
